Orang Utan Island – Tucked away on the 35-acre Pulau Orang Utan, Orang Utan Island is the world’s first and only 5-acre rehabilitation and conservation facility where Orang Utans roam free. The unique island serves as a breeding sanctuary as well as a conservation, research and education center to better understand this endangered species. Upon arrival, wait for the ferry to take you to the Orang Utan Island, which is about 10-minute boat ride across. At the island, you will be taken through a 100-meter steel walkthrough ‘cage tunnel’ to come up close and personal with these primates. In a twist, you will be enclosed in a ‘cage’ as you observe the Orang Utans roaming freely in their natural habitats

Notes
- Please bring mosquito repellant, wear comfortable shoes and may require some light walking
- Due to Very Dry Season (No Rain) and very shallow water, the Boat Ride to Orang Utan Island may be cancelled by Bukit Merah resort. In light of this, we will replace Orang Utan Tour with Firefly Tour
- Activities are subject to weather condition, and may be re-organised to best meet operational situation
Itinerary
Day 01 (-/L/-) Orang Utan Island, Ipoh City
- 7am Meet and Greet at KL City/Hotel and Transfer to Bukit Merah
- Am/pm
- Proceed with a leisure drive towards Bukit Merah Resort. Upon arrival, enjoy a short boat ride to Orang Utan island, to interact with them, in their natural habitats.
- Enjoy Simple Malaysia Local Lunch
- pm Depart to Ipoh. Continue your journey and en route, have a short stopover at “Sam Poh Tong Cave” temple in Gunung Rapat, 5 km south of Ipoh. This temple houses an impressive work of art with various statues of Buddha set among the natural stalactites and stalagmites. After which, continue with a brief Ipoh City Tour by having photo stop of Ipoh Railway Station and Old Ipoh Town.
- 7-7.30 pm Transfer to KL (barring any traffic, you may reach your hotel around 9.30-9.45 pm)
