Tour Booking ConditionsClients are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the following conditions: Deposit and PaymentA deposit of 50% per person is required upon booking. This deposit forms part of your final payment. However, a payment of deposit does not constitute confirmation of the tour. Full payment is required 30 days before departure, or at time of booking if the booking is made within 30 days of tour departure date. Failure to comply with this may result in an automatic cancellation of your reservation and forfeiture of your deposit. Methods of PaymentMethods of payment accepted are credit card (MasterCard/Visa) with a 3% surcharge, telegraphic transfer, cash deposit, and cheque. Currencies accepted are Ringgit Malaysia and US Dollar, the exchange rate being determined at the sole discretion of Shajasa and updated periodically. Exchange rates so set are final and non-negotiable. All charges for telegraphic transfer or other method are to be borne by the client. For credit card payments made online, we reserve the right to require a Letter of Authorisation to verify legitimate use of the card. Whatever the method of payment, funds must have cleared in our account by the payment deadline. Package PricePrices are subject to change without prior notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as increase in airfares, other transport costs, hotel rates, government tax, etc.
Cancellation Fee and No Show Policy In the event of any cancellation, the following fees will be applicable: 21 or more days prior to departure 30% of total cost 14 - 20 days prior to departure 50% of total cost 7 - 13 days prior to departure 75% of total cost Less than 7 days prior to departure 100%
Currency exchange fluctuations, bank charges, etc. will be deducted from any refund made, and a 5% credit card processing fee will be deducted for any refund made to the client's credit card. No exceptions to the cancellation policy shall be granted.
In the event of No Show or failure to turn up, no refunds (either in cash or credit card) will be given.
No Postponement will be allowed for all tours, airport transfers, services, etc confirmed.
Tour Cancellation
Shajasa Travel & Tours Sdn Bhd (herewith known as The Company), reserves the right to cancel any tour prior to departure for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to an insufficient number of participants. The company may, if it so chooses, recommend alternative tours to you, preferably to the same destination. Refund of Unused Services
No refunds, either in part or in full, will be made for unused air tickets, ground transportation, meals, accommodation, car rental, chauffeur-driven services or sightseeing tours not taken. Tour PricesPrices are subject to revision without notice in the event of unforeseen circumstances such as currency fluctuations, increase in hotel rates, local taxes, etc. The tour price excludes pre-/post-tour accommodation, laundry, room service, unspecified meals or tours, beverages, passport and visa charges, service charges, tips, and all other items of a personal nature. Tour prices are based on current airfares, service prices, government tax applicable at the time of print and quotation and are subject to change with or without prior notice. Child Fare
Eligibility: 3 - 11 years of age (on the date of departure) Child fare is based on sharing a room with two adults. There will be an additional cost for child sharing a room with one adult. Administrative / Amendments FeeAn administrative fee of RM 200 (or equivalent) will be charged for any amendment after documents are processed, and RM 100 after reservation has been acted upon. Itinerary ChangesAirline schedule and local conditions may affect accommodation and routings. Should this occur, The Company will endeavour to substitute a suitable arrangement of similar value. Where possible, any changes will be announced before departure. If we find it necessary to change accommodation or a portion of your itinerary after your holiday has commenced, we will strive to maintain the overall standard of the holiday arrangement. However, The Company reserves the right to make minor changes at any time without compensation. No compensation will be made as a result of force majeure (unforeseen circumstances beyond human control, e.g. war, civil strike, earthquake, floods). Right to RejectThe Company reserves the right to cancel or withdraw any itinerary or booking made for a client. The Company also has the right to decline acceptance or to retain any person as member of the tour if it appears that such person(s) is likely to endanger the health or safety, or impair the comfort and enjoyment of others on the tour. The Company further reserves the right to cancel any reservation if, for any reason whatsoever, any carrier, hotel or contractor refuses to allow the person concerned to participate in the tour. In any of the above-mentioned events, The Company’s sole liability shall be limited to a refund of any monies paid, less the amount for services already utilized plus administrative fees. TransportationUnless otherwise specified, transfers are on a charter basis. For ‘seat-in-coach’ transfers or tours, passengers join regular scheduled coach departures, which do not operate on an exclusive charter basis. This might involve prolonged waiting. Travel DocumentsIt is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that his/her international passport has validity of at least 6 months from the date of departure. Relevant visas and vaccinations may be required. Cancellation charges apply for any cancellation due to non-approval of visas or any other reasons as stated above. The Company will, whenever possible, assist you to obtain the necessary visas. Service charges and visa fees will be borne by passengers. The Company does not guarantee the approval of the visa application. If for any reason, an application for visa or exit permit is rejected, the passenger must make it known to the Company at least 30 days prior to departure; administration charges will apply. If less than 30 days notice is given, the relevant cancellation charge as stated will apply. The Company cannot be held responsible for any expenses, reimbursement or refund of any tour prices, if passenger entry to any country is refused for whatever reason, including lack of necessary visas. Travel InsuranceWe strongly recommend that you purchase a personal travel insurance policy prior to the commencement of your holiday. The Company shall not be responsible for any loss or damage as a result of trip cancellation, personal baggage, personal accident, injury or illness. MealsMeals will be provided as specified in the tour itinerary. Hotel AccommodationHotels used as specified in the brochure. In the event that accommodation in the selected hotel is not available, every effort will be made for an alternative in another hotel of similar standard. Unless specifically mentioned, all rooms will be on “run-of-house” basis. Accommodation for adults is based on twin- or double-sharing. When booking triple-sharing rooms, please note that third bed may be a ‘roll-away’ bed. Triple-sharing for all tours shall be subject to availability and request only (as some hotels do not have triple sharing rooms). If you wish to occupy a single room, you are required to pay a single supplement.
Hotel Check-in and Check-out Policy
Different hotels would have their own check-in and check-out policy. As a general guide, check-in time is normally 2 pm onwards and check-out time is around 11 am. Any early or late check-in and late check-out is at the discretion of the respective hotels. The Company shall not be held responsible for any early or late check-in and late check-out requests.
ResponsibilityThe Company and its associates act only as agents for the transportation companies, hotels & other principals for the tour programmes. They accept no responsibility for injury, damage, accident, loss, delay, theft, quarantine, customs regulation, strike, changes in itinerary, deportation or refusal of entry by immigration authorities resulting from improper travel documents, possession of unlawful items or irregularities that may be caused to person or property. Any losses and expenses are the responsibility of the passenger. All proper travel documentation is the sole responsibility of the passenger. As The Company is only an acting agent for the holiday components, it will not be held responsible for any changes, acts of discretion or inconvenience caused by our suppliers and appointed agents. In no case shall The Company or their employees or agents be liable for any causes outside of their reasonable control or from any act or omission of the client. Every person participating in any tour tour/holiday organised by The Company shall be regarded as carrying his own risk with respect to loss or injury to person or property. The traveller accepts full responsibility for losses and expenses due to delay, sickness, weather, strikes, war, quarantine and acts of God. The Company reserves the right to alter any route, itinerary and/or accommodation without prior notice to the passengers if it shall in its sole and absolute discretion think this fits, or in case of force majeure. |
